What Jersey Do You Wear? — Revelation 15–22
Come, Follow Me: New Testament 2023 (December 25—31)
Okay. I admit it. I’m a Hallmark movie lover, especially at Christmas time. The worst that can happen is a misunderstanding and it always, always ends well. There is no anxiety when bad things happen because the ending is known from the beginning.
Maybe that’s why we have the book of Revelation. Clearly, there is more drama in these final days than hurt feelings, but God wants us to know there will be a happy ending. We can count on it. Jesus, and His followers, Win.
“The future of this world has long been declared; the final outcome between good and evil is already known. There is absolutely no question as to who wins because the victory has already been posted on the scoreboard. The only really strange thing in all of this is that we are still down here on the field trying to decide which team's jersey we want to wear” (Jeffrey R. Holland).
While we’re waiting for that final victory cheer, the invitation is simple: come, come, come. Put on the Jesus jersey.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).
Studying the Come, Follow Me lesson each week will bring you closer to Him. It’s a simple way to “come” and make spiritual progress. It’s the inspired way to participate on the winning team. Consider putting it on the top of your daily To Do list in 2024.
