Introducing Ms. Wacky Witch 2020

Over the years I’ve collected boxes of Halloween decorations for our annual Halloween family party. As I unpacked each one, my breath caught when I uncovered this special witch character. The thought came quickly, “This is exactly how I feel in 2020!” 

Then I laughed, because while she looks like she has been through quite the storm, she is hanging on! She is still wearing her power lipstick color – red. While her hair is crazy and gray, she is wearing her proud hat and she’s holding her head high (as well as she can with a notch in her neck!) And can you see her “I voted” sticker? 

I couldn’t put out my most scary decorations, because reality is scary enough. Our family replaced the party with a week-long online contest of Halloween fun. And when I put away the decorations on Sunday, I may keep Ms. Wacky Witch 2020 out for a while. She helps me smile while putting on my power lipstick and reminds me to keep tilting my view toward better days ahead.
