Did You Put on Your Armour of God? — Ephesians

Come, Follow Me: New Testament 2023 (October 2—8)

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13).

As you engaged in General Conference last week-end, were you able to let the divine words, music, and Spirit cover you with armour to withstand the battle that is raging around us?

Were your loins girt about with truth (Ephesians 6:14)?

“Put Jesus Christ first, because your eternal life is depending upon your faith in Him and in His atonement.”  –President Russell M. Nelson

Did you feel the breastplate of righteousness in your chest (Ephesians 6:14)?

“Want what the Savior wants.”  –President Henry B. Eyring

“The way we treat each other is a direct reflection of our understanding of and appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice and Atonement of His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.”
–Elder Christopher G. Giraud-Carrier

Were your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15)?

“Jesus Christ will meet us where we are as we are. This is the why of the garden, the cross, and the tomb. The Savior was sent to help us overcome.” –President Emily Belle Freeman

Did you take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16)?

“Because of Christ, it all works out.” –Sister Tamara W. Runia

Did you take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17)?

“When we trust God’s prophet on the earth today, and act on his counsel, we will find happiness. We need to look no further.” –Elder Dale G. Renlund

Put on the armour of God daily by adding the review of conference talks to your scripture study. These divine words will help you “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).

“My dear friends in Christ, you are doing much better than you think. Just keep working at it.”
-Brother Jan E. Newman
